Along the streets are restored homes and buildings on the National Historic Register some dating back to the 1880s. Local jazz and musical groups perform. There's a New Orleans-style Mardi Gras and annual art and craft shows. From Orlando: Take the Beeline Expressway east to U.S. 1, then exit south on U.S. 1 for three miles, turn east on State Road 520. Right onto Brevard Avenue.
